Keesler Federal Credit Union is looking for a Social Media Specialist to manage strategy and communication while maintaining reputation management across all digital platforms.

This role involves overseeing social media pages, Google Business listings, email campaigns, and interactions with the Better Business Bureau. The Social Media Specialist will also assist in planning, creating, maintaining, and ensuring the accessibility of the credit union’s social media pages and website, ensuring consistency in the web channel’s look and feel.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop, implement, and manage the credit union’s social media strategy.
  • Define key social media KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).
  • Oversee and manage social media content.
  • Measure and report on the success of social media campaigns.
  • Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies.
  • Design content for social media channels and various website pages, including blogs.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including copywriters and designers.
  • Work closely with the Marketing, Community Development, Retail, and Product/Initiative Development teams.
  • Track and analyze SEO (Search Engine Optimization) to provide effective solutions for content optimization.
  • Network with industry professionals and influencers via social media.
  • Respond to member social media comments and questions.
  • Manage and respond to all online reputation management feedback portals.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with all federal regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act).
  • Assist with graphic design and ad creation as needed.
  • Act as a backup to the credit union’s intranet team lead.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year college or university in Marketing, Business Administration, Web Development, or another related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Experience and Other Requirements:

  • A minimum of four years’ experience in social media strategy.
  • Experience with Google Business, Google Tag Manager, and Google Analytics.
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, Google+, and other social media best practices.
  • Availability to answer social media comments and messages after business hours.
  • Practical knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics.
  • Good understanding of social media KPIs.
  • Team player.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong initiative and ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Must be eager to learn, enthusiastic, motivated, and a self-starter.
  • Must be a critical thinker and problem solver and possess and display effective analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Strong ability to interact and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Must be familiar with relational database concepts and client-server concepts.
  • Must understand basic marketing and branding objectives.

Interpersonal Skills:

Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves a significant amount of personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation.

Computer Skills:

  • Must be experienced with Microsoft Office products and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Familiarity with Google Business, Google Tag Manager, and Google Analytics.
