We are currently hiring a Social Media Specialist, Truly in Boston, MA.

  • A Hybrid position at Boston Beer requires that our coworkers reside within commuting distance to be onsite according to their teams’ weekly schedule.

Social Media Specialist will be responsible for the day-to-day engagement with Truly drinkers across all social media channels, connecting directly with drinkers to grow our channels and communities through organic content planning, publishing, and engagement.

What You’ll Brew:

  • Maintain our day-to-day organic social media content calendar, overseeing both long-term planning and real-time social media content opportunities
  • Partner with writers, creative designers, and social team to concept and develop timely, shareable graphics (infographics, photos, illustrations, memes), animations and videos based on insights from our community of fans, overseeing organic content development
  • Act as the voice of the brand on the front lines with drinkers by responding to inbound tweets, DMs, Instagram comments, and more in real-time
  • Drive consistency of our brand voice and personality on social media by delivering quick-witted, creative, and on-brand replies (text, GIF, emoji, and more) to drinkers
  • Curate user generated content and support broader Social Media team with influencer strategy and execution
  • Develop new and innovative ways to foster conversation and engage with our brand’s communities, and work cross-functionally to design campaigns inclusive of 1:1 drinker engagement
  • Collaborate with the Social Media team on reporting across social media touchpoints
  • Leverage social listening to help develop content themes/topics and execute a plan to develop the assets that support marketing objectives
  • Work with Consumer Relations team to ensure consistent customer-facing communications across channels, drafting social media-friendly messaging for initiatives like new product launches, programs, and FAQs
  • Capture consumer insights and create weekly and monthly reports on social media community management efforts, trends and opportunities
  • Capitalize on live events and real-time opportunities relevant to our communities
  • Create toolkits for Boston Beer’s salesforce to leverage selling in new Truly products

What Ingredients You’ll Bring: Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2+ years of experience working in social media, communications or marketing team with a desire for building a brand’s online presence
  • Experience with social listening, engagement, analytics and publishing tools (e.g. Emplifi, Sprout, Netbase)
  • Exceptional writing skills
  • Ability to easily move between analytics and content creation
  • Detail-oriented, accustomed to working in a fast-paced, responsive space

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the alcohol beverage space OR CPG
