The Marketing & Brand Strategy department coordinates and maintains UA’s presence on social media daily. This includes developing creative content to effectively communicate UA’s messages across all digital platforms.

The team develops weekly content plans, focusing on UA’s strategic pillars, and collaborates closely with the Marketing Department within Strategic Communications to maximize digital efforts. They track metrics and compile monthly reports, monitor social media accounts for sentiment and engagement, and create content, including graphics and videos, using platforms such as Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, and Canva.

The team also covers live events for social media, both during and outside of regular working hours, including nights and weekends. Additionally, they develop strategies to increase engagement and reach on UA’s social media platforms, benchmarking against peer institutions.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of social media, digital marketing, public relations, advertising, or communications experience; OR
  • Master’s degree or higher and some experience in social media, digital marketing, public relations, advertising, or communications.
  • Student or Graduate Assistant, Intern, or student-oriented experience will be considered. Student experience must be detailed in the employment section of the application.
  • Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license.
  • Must be at least 19 years of age at the time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends as required.
  • Must be able to work for long periods, sitting at a computer or other digital device.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of social media analytics.
  • Experience with photo and video editing and graphic design (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.).
  • Ability to capture photos and videos for social media use.
  • Familiarity with accessibility practices as they pertain to social media.
  • Proficiency with mobile devices and common social media apps.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, public relations, or advertising.
  • Experience with Basecamp, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and Sprout Social.
  • Demonstrated experience with Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and/or TikTok in a professional and/or personal capacity.
