Compassion International is seeking an early-career social media specialist for a temporary, full-time remote position from October 2023 to May 2024.

The Specialist I will be responsible for maximizing engagement, growth, and overall effectiveness of Compassion International’s social media channels. This role involves planning, executing, and analyzing campaigns across various social media platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and act as a consistent witness for Christ.
• Advocate for children, raise awareness of their needs, and take steps to protect them against neglect, abuse, and exploitation.
• Coordinate efforts to deliver high-quality, omni-channel experiences on social media platforms.
• Contribute to enhancing Compassion’s brand and supporter experience across all social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Twitter, Pinterest, etc.).
• Support the Digital Experience (Social Media) team in developing new campaigns and priorities aligned with Compassion’s ministry goals.
• Develop and deliver campaign-specific content strategies using performance metrics, journey maps, and audience insights.
• Collaborate with various internal teams, including marketing, global, influencer, events, etc., to create comprehensive social media plans.
• Monitor and report on analytics across all social media platforms, providing insights for campaign optimization and improvement.
• Collect and report data to better understand and drive engagement.
• Stay updated on platform-specific best practices and trends to enhance user experience and algorithmic support.
• Maintain the mission-true voice of Compassion in all social media posts, descriptions, hashtags, and campaigns.
• Provide expertise to other professionals and support staff in the Digital Experience discipline.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
• Previous experience in a similar position or field.
