AUSA News is seeking a creative, driven, and experienced Freelance Social Media Producer to assist in broadcasting daily live news programming.

The ideal candidate will have a background in live news and a deep understanding of social media platforms. Knowledge of general news, business news, technology innovations, and cultural news is essential.

The candidate should also possess the ability to create engaging social media posts, including video and graphics, while thriving in a high-pressure environment with tight deadlines.

The successful candidate must be a self-starter and independent worker while also being adaptable, flexible, and a collaborative team player. This role requires daily in-office presence and offers the potential for permanent employment.

Responsibilities:

• Create compelling social media content for top stories in the tri-state area.
• Assist in posting promotions for upcoming campaigns and segments.
• Research and pitch story ideas that align with the brand, target audience, and social platforms.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in producing.
• Proficiency in creating social graphics and video content for news.
• Background in journalism.
• Strong understanding of social media best practices and guidelines for major platforms.
• Proficiency in software such as Premiere, Photoshop, Canva, etc.
• Ability to collaborate with a team while also excelling as an individual contributor and self-starter.
• Experience working with partners and branded content.
