AOB is seeking a creative individual with strong copywriting skills and a passion for the outdoor industry. Candidates should have a basic understanding of shooting, hunting, and other outdoor activities.

The Social Media Specialist will be responsible for writing and managing content on various social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and TikTok. The goal is to build brand audience, ensure customer engagement, and increase brand awareness. The Specialist will also handle community management and create a positive interface for AOB’s brands.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the brand team to plan 4-5 posts per week per brand to drive brand awareness and build a community.
  • Implement brand-specific strategic marketing campaigns and seasonal brand/product themes.
  • Assist with product launches, both pre-launch hype and post-launch follow-through.
  • Integrate brand ambassador-created content deliverables into the brand’s social platforms.
  • Evaluate the performance of brand ambassador social deliverables.
  • Contribute copy for email and ad marketing campaigns.
  • Establish social benchmarks and KPIs for each brand in collaboration with the brand team. Create monthly dashboards to evaluate post engagement and social growth.
  • Research social media trends and present content ideas.
  • Work with the eComm team to inform consumers about items on sale or back in stock.
  • Collaborate with the Brand Manager on any other brand-specific responsibilities.
  • Handle community management, including responding to social media inboxes and coordinating with the customer service team.
  • Engage with customers on post comments and questions.
  • Collaborate with the brand team to host social growth giveaways and campaigns.

Education and Experience:

  • Generally, a B.S. in business, marketing, or a related field with 0-2 years of experience. This is up to the discretion of management.
  • Passion for the outdoor industry is preferred.

Competencies and Skills:

  • Experience with MS Office, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to organize large amounts of data logically.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills and the ability to communicate and influence at all levels within the organization.
  • Self-directed with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple accountabilities and multiple internal customers.
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule during key business deadlines.
  • Must be team-oriented with the ability to work on highly collaborative and performance-driven teams.
