We are seeking a dynamic and creative Social Media Manager to join our team at Steel Sports. The ideal candidate will be passionate about youth sports and possess a strong understanding of social media platforms and trends. As the Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive social media strategy to promote our organization, engage with our community, and enhance our brand presence online.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a social media strategy to increase brand awareness, drive engagement, market product lines and generate leads.
  • Create compelling content for various social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, LinkedIn and TikTok.
  • Manage all social media accounts, including scheduling posts, responding to comments and messages, and monitoring trends.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create multimedia content, including graphics, videos, and blog posts.
  • Analyze social media performance metrics and adjust strategy as needed to optimize
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends and best practices.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Foster relationships with influencers, partners, and brand advocates to amplify our message and reach new audiences.
  • Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness, like promotions and competitions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in social media management, preferably in the sports industry.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Understanding of graphic design fundamentals, with professional experience using the Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.), Canva, or other/similar graphic design programs.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools and analytics platforms.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of youth sports and an understanding of the target audience.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to take on new challenges.
