Join the J.R. Simplot Company as a dynamic and experienced Social Media Manager, responsible for leading the development, planning, and execution of the global social media strategy. This pivotal role sits within the Company’s Global Communications and Brand team, requiring strong attention to detail, brand compliance, and deep expertise in social media operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving awareness, engaging audiences, and enhancing Simplot’s reputation across various social media platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Implement the Company’s social media strategy, campaigns, and content calendars to build engagement and support broader communication objectives.
  2. Align social strategy with the Company’s brand identity and broader content initiatives.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and social media managers across different business areas to assist with content decisions and approvals.
  4. Edit and review social media plans, content, and broader communications materials to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  5. Assist in planning brand-marketing opportunities, including events, sponsorships, promotions, and community relations activities.
  6. Create channel-specific social media content for Simplot’s platforms.
  7. Produce, edit, and publish weekly content aligning with the Company’s strategic goals.
  8. Assist in the development and execution of social media campaigns, corporate sponsorships, and community events.
  9. Support the creation and production of photo/video assets for use across social media channels.
  10. Research and analyze new media platforms, trends, and social media industry opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years in social media, marketing, or communications for a large and diverse company.
  • Social Media Platforms: Demonstrated experience with Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and YouTube, including knowledge of their content best practices.
  • Skills: Proficiency in social media analytics, optimization tools, and multi-social posting programs such as Hootsuite.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Event Planning: Experience in event planning.
  • Creativity: Creative thinking with the ability to develop engaging content.
  • Collaboration: Ability to collaborate with influencers and manage collaborations.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills.
  • Data-Driven: Data-driven mindset with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Global Experience: Experience with a large multi-national or global organization.

Certifications: Relevant certifications are a plus.

Other Information:

  • Moderate knowledge of marketing principles and business acumen.
  • Good knowledge of market research.
  • Skills in understanding P&L financials and analyzing financial data.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
  • Strong interpersonal and written skills.
