The Marketing & Social Media Manager is responsible for creating and maintaining marketing strategies to meet objectives and enhance the image of our Water Park facility.

They will evaluate customer feedback, market conditions, and competitor information, to implement marketing strategies. The Marketing & Social Media Manager will help coordinate and execute all marketing, advertising, promotional activities and social media campaigns

Responsibilities

  • Manage the brand agencies for additional collateral design, printing and any other promotional requirements.
  • Organize special events that will generate great press and PR.
  • Research and identify co-marketing companies that will complement associated hotel brands along with other brands we manage and institute programs or events that will generate buzz.
  • Create and curate unique lifestyle programming in coordination with the hotel, waterpark and other operating entities operations team that can then be used in PR articles and social media activity.
  • Manage the PR agencies on a daily basis, ensuring objectives, strategies and road maps are executed in a timely manner.
  • Monitor our business Marketing and Brand Standards to ensure compliance.
  • Coordinate with Executive Management integrating branding efforts to e-Marketing and paid on-line advertising strategies (i.e. PPC keyword submissions, e-Blasts, e-Brochures/modules, e-Proposals) throughout all other communication vehicles (social media, PR, blog content, direct mail, etc.).
  • Support website blogs and manage the content strategy in conjunction with Executive Management
  • Develop relevant promotions and packages as a result of PR and other marketing initiatives.
  • Manage marketing plans i.e. advertising (off line) and co-ordinate on online marketing activity if required with Executive Management.
  • Assist with the development of marketing budgets.
  • Oversee photo shoots and manage photo libraries.
  • Develop and implement property marketing partnership opportunities and continuously focus on marketing initiatives to create customer loyalty and increase market share.
  • Manage on online reputation management and messaging on 3rd party sites to ensure communications are as per the brand and drive online content social media opportunities.
  • Provide support in strategic planning, market research, presentation development and any other additional requests as per Senior Management.
  • Create monthly reports to track the success of campaigns.
  • Create all branded presentation documents, ensuring they are in the appropriate brand format.
  • Develop and execute BHG Properties long-range strategic digital marketing activities relative to increasing market share.
  • Strategize, plan, manage, and continuously improve robust cross-media marketing programs which include a combination of CRM direct marketing (both digital and print), digital advertising, social media marketing, print advertising, and content marketing.
  • Monitor SEO performance.
  • Oversee the development of new landing pages to support our digital marketing strategy.
  • Review reports and analysis from the search engine optimization and sales department to strengthen marketing efforts and increase ROI. Simultaneously manage multiple search engine marketing campaigns.
  • Recommend and lead appropriate marketing research initiatives to support digital objectives
  • Provide market and competitive insights on various company endeavors.
  • Stay up to date on digital marketing trends and tactics in an ever-changing marketplace.
  • Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)
  • Identify trends and insights, and optimize spend and performance accordingly
  • Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies to acquire and convert buyers
  • Collaborate with agencies and other vendor partners as necessary
  • Evaluate emerging technologies. Provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate.
  • Interact with all levels of the organization and articulate a vision and develop & deliver supporting digital plans.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Marketing, Social Media and Digital Communications
  • Demonstrates ability to develop and implement successful marketing strategies for individual hotels, including ROI / KPI metrics
  • Strong presentation and communications skills, proficiency with programs such as, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Premiere, After Affects, etc.
  • High level proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; Google Analytics; and Adwords
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with external and internal contacts (i.e. Owners, Resort General Manager, Waterpark General Manager, F&B Manager, and Aquatics Manager)
  • Strong Creative Mind
  • Ability to organize exclusive events.
  • Graphic Design experience required.
  • Knowledge of social media marketing and content creation in programs such as Shortstack, Offerpop, Hootsuite, WordPress, etc.
  • Ability to deliver strong print and collateral marketing materials
  • Ability to work proficiently quickly in a high-pressure & fast paced environment

  • Maintain friendly demeanor at all times.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with BHG Standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming.
  • Comply with BHG Property Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient property operations.
  • Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.
  • Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
  • Must be able to understand and evaluate complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives.
  • Ability to lead in a fast-paced environment and operate under minimal supervision.
  • Prioritize multiple tasks, work effectively under stress, meet short deadlines, and take directions. Ability to Identify problems and implement or recommend solutions.
  • Knowledge and/or hands on experience within the cloud based marketing technology platforms including – personalization, content management, data and analytics, ecommerce, CRM, Mobile and collaboration tools.
  • Proven experience in building innovative, proactive, high-impact digital channels; utilizing all relevant channels, and aligning strategies with business goals in order to drive revenue and customer engagement.
  • Track-record of launching new digital marketing initiatives. Substantially improved strategy (SEO, SEM, etc.), with a measurable increase in brand awareness and new customer acquisition
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.
