As the Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day community management on our social media channels, including content creation, posting and scheduling content, managing conversations between fans/followers, and reporting/analyzing the results to optimize engagement.

You will execute all social campaigns, grow our presence in key channels, and play a critical role in coordinating design resources for content. You will be immersed in the trading card community and will be excited to evolve Alt’s social channels to become a go-to resource for the hobby.

The Impact You Will Make

  • Own the Alt social channels, including content creation, posting & scheduling content, conversation management, and trend reporting.
  • Lead our social expansion into platforms including Twitter, YouTube, TikTok and other relevant emerging platforms.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate content that helps support the needs and goals of the business.
  • Work in Figma to influence template design and update templates as needed.
  • Build a social calendar designed to inform, educate, and entertain our social followers.
  • Report on social media performance and highlight initiatives, successes, and opportunities to the marketing and leadership teams.
  • Interact with key industry accounts to ensure Alt is a visible member of the trading card community.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and relevant platform updates.
  • Influence paid social strategy especially as it pertains to boosted posts.
  • Utilize social media publishing software tools to manage strategies effectively. Experience with HootSuite is a plus.

What you bring to the table:

  • Must have a passion for trading cards and collectibles.
  • 2+ years of experience in social media marketing, Public Relations, and/or content management.
  • Understanding of key social media platforms, emerging tools, and apps.
  • Experience using social media advertising platforms.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to write copy for social media to fit brand tone and voice.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to take risks.
  • Positive attitude focused on enhancing our positive work environment.
  • Ability to work well independently and in a dynamic team environment and interface well with many individuals.
  • Understand the importance of learning new/changing software and tools.
