We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Social Media Manger to join our Digital Marketing Team. This role will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive social media strategies for all major social networks.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and manage our social media strategy after conducting competitive research, platform determination, messaging and audience identification
  • Plan, create, publish and share new content (including original text, images, video and code) on a daily basis that builds meaningful customer connections, increases brand awareness and encourages community members to engage with the brand
  • Collaborate across the enterprise to develop social media campaigns that bring the brand to life and meet organizational goals
  • Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies
  • Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content
  • Capture and analyze the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and social media best practices to measure the success of every social media campaign, then use that information to refine future campaigns
  • Define KPIs for social media campaigns
  • Moderate user-generated content in line with the moderation policy
  • Create and manage paid social media campaigns across multiple platforms when necessary
  • Monitor and proactively increase social traffic, growth ad engagement performance across social channels

Corporate Channel Lead (Social)

  • Manages and executes an approved National Life Corporate social media strategy
    • With inputs from Content Strategy and Planning Lead and Director, develops strategy, plan and roadmap, with distinct focus on channels, audiences and goals
    • Delivers on content planning, creation and scheduling for all corporate entities including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Twitter, TikTok
      • Tweaks content according to audiences and mediums
    • Owns response and engagement strategy on pages
    • Ensures coordination and identifies content efficiencies in partnership with Agent Channel Lead
    • Explore and implement, if warranted, a real-time content process
  • Monitors metrics on Corporate social media properties, delivering a monthly report card, along with optimization recommendations and opportunities based on competitive landscape
  • Monitors competitive set for strategic insight and learnings, across both Corporate and Agent activation
  • Monitors and reports out on developing social media trends – leverages trends to identify, sell in and implement opportunities for National Life
    • Adjusts planned content to fit accordingly
    • Monitors real-time content performance and reports on themes, issues, opportunities – Real-Time Feedback Loop
    • Provides best practices for scheduling, etc.
  • Serves as a digital strategy consultant related to paid social tactics (e.g., LinkedIn Job Ads, TikTok recruiting ads, etc.)

Creative Strategy and Content Production

  • Develops Creative Strategy, leveraging visual elements across all mediums – Social Storyteller, bringing to life content objectives and missions
    • Generate ideas for compelling, engaging content and campaigns.
    • Works with broader team and organization to creatively deliver against needs
    • Content includes short form videos, such as reels
    • Responsible for transforming Content Strategy into the creation and execution of compelling content –
      • Maintains brand and editorial guidelines across social content
      • Collaborate with Creative Team to plan and implement copy, style and layout as needed
  • Executes on creative strategy and ideation for related to paid tactics (e.g., LinkedIn Job Ads, TikTok recruiting ads, etc.). Engages creative services as needed.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of proven social media and digital content production experience in a corporate environment.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • A portfolio link of corporate work examples must be included with application
  • Experience leading video creation, from conceptualization to production and distribution
  • Experience writing for social ads and in-depth knowledge of social channels
  • Solid understanding of the principles of branding and brand marketing
  • Solid understanding of social media publishing tools and experience with common platforms (such as Hearsay, Sprout Social, Hootsuite, etc.) and functionality
  • Video production experience and knowledge of video and graphic creation tools (Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Motion, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) a plus
  • Knowledge of insurance and financial services a plus.
  • Superior and versatile writing ability across a variety of content styles with attention to audience and brand voice
  • Expert ability to synthesize information and write clearly and concisely, while conveying complex subject matter to various audience groups and demographics
  • Ability to influence and communicate across all levels of the organization to gain cooperation of others
