OPPORTUNITY:

The purpose of this intern position is to provide a student real-world marketing experience that enables the student to utilize their learned skills firsthand in a corporate environment.

GRAPHIC DESIGN INTERN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with the design and execution of social media campaigns
• Collaborate on monthly editorial calendars to promote company brands on various social media platforms
• Create and distribute content such as blogs, infographics, videos, and press releases on social media and traditional news outlets
• Track social media engagement to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns for scalability
• Perform social media marketing research
• Respond to comments and DMs on social media platforms
• Brainstorm and research ideas for original content
• Assist content team to write social media captions and social graphic copy that speak to the company’s target audience
• Assist in proofing and scheduling social media posts across all platforms
• Create and edit short-form videos
• Help develop new strategies for increasing engagement
• Assist with photo/video content shoots
• Understanding the business to ensure brand message is consistent

REQUIREMENTS:

• Pursuing a degree related to digital communications such as Marketing, Advertising, Communication, or Journalism
• Experience in digital marketing/social media marketing
• Mastery of the major social media platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube
• Stays current on social media trends, algorithms, and updates to platforms
• Experience with editing short-form video
• Knowledge of social media analytics
• A willingness and ability to learn new programs
• Experience with keeping to important deadlines and working as part of a team

COMMITMENT:

• Hybrid Flexible work model.
• Must be available to work 10 hours per week between the hours of 7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. CST (flexible)
• Should be available to start in June and be able to work through the end of summer. There is an option to extend.
