The primary responsibility of the Social Media Designer/Copywriter position is to create cohesive sets of visual communication materials for Social Media Channels. This role encompasses designing digital assets, images for websites, social media graphics and postings, content management, internal communications, and digital communication projects. The Designer/Copywriter will collaborate with the advertising design team, other team members, and external vendors.

This position requires the utmost confidentiality regarding guest and team member information related to Lucky Eagle Casino & Hotel. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential, and providing outstanding guest service to fellow team members, guests, vendors, etc., is expected. Regular attendance is required, and occasional late hours or weekend work may be necessary to meet project deadlines. A professional appearance is essential at all times.

Essential Functions:

The essential functions of the Social Media Designer/Copywriter include but are not limited to:

• Design a variety of layouts and assets, including digital design, website images, social media graphics, and other static displays.
• Oversee the production process for all assigned projects from concept to placement.
• Maintain quality control and review all files before production.
• Ensure brand standards in typography, color quality, proof inspection, and approval to achieve high-quality outcomes within project timelines.
• Work independently on tasks and collaboratively on strategy and content development for various social media channels.
• Prioritize and track project specifications, progress, timelines, and other variables for all assigned projects.
• Create online content to market all aspects of offerings and engage with guests.
• Draft press releases for official Lucky Eagle Casino events/news.
• Assist in creating copy for marketing offers and promotional materials.
• Archive and maintain files and generate reports as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments as assigned.
• Engage in professional development as needed to stay current in communication design, web development, and design-related software and hardware.
• Interact effectively with team members and guests to support Lucky Eagle Casino & Hotel’s mission statement.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Educational Requirements:

• Two years of experience as a graphic designer. OR
• Associate degree in graphic design, plus four years of experience as a graphic designer. OR
• Five years of professional experience as a graphic designer and/or copywriter.

Skill, Knowledge, and Experience Requirements:

• A portfolio of work demonstrating skills and knowledge is required.
• Prior experience in casinos and/or public attractions is preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of graphic design, typography, production, marketing, and branding strategies used in print and digital media.
• Understanding of design as a communication tool.
• Exceptional organizational, planning, and communication skills, including attention to detail and follow-through.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite programs: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Working knowledge of lighting and photography.
• Working knowledge of web programming languages, including HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and PHP.
• Working knowledge of standard office software, including Microsoft Office.
• Prior experience leading projects from concept to completion in a deadline-driven environment is preferred.
• Experience with portrait and product photography is preferred.
• Experience with motion graphics, audio, video, and copywriting is a plus.

Additional Requirements:

• Must be a minimum of 21 years old.
• Ability to obtain and retain a Washington State Class III Gaming License.
• Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.
