AtkinsRealis is seeking a Social Media Coordinator, supporting the Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise (FTE) General Engineering Consultant (GEC) Program to join our team in Ocoee, FL (metro Orlando area).

Under the direction of the Marketing and Public Outreach Manager, this position will provide support to the Communications and Marketing team by assisting with the management and maintenance of all social media assets for the team. This position will develop content for Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise social media platforms, monitor all accounts daily, and provide insight and ideas to help increase customer engagement and further define the agency’s social media presence and brand. How will you contribute to the team?

  • Manage and oversee social media content.
  • Posting and monitoring of all social media sites for interaction and engagement
  • Create monthly posting calendars for each site that includes fresh and engaging content.
  • Drive customer to agency websites by creating social campaigns that increase interest in the agency and SunPass.
  • Creation of graphics
  • Create social media strategy that helps cultivate the agency’s online brand and identity.
  • Maintain awareness of any social media activity and repost partner accounts, FDOT Central Office notifications, etc., as instructed.
  • Be prepared to post any emergency notifications, traffic information as requested.
  • Measure account traffic and identify trends, areas of interest.
  • Create monthly social media analytics report.
  • Provide ongoing and provide insight on how to improve agency’s online identity.
  • Social Media strategy development
  • Research new and emerging trends in social media
  • Assist with creation and branding of campaign support materials including websites, social media posts, community engagement items (tents, table covers, banners, branded items, print materials).
  • Maintain agency branding and visual identity guidelines.
  • Provide graphics support to Marketing team by designing simple to complex, production -ready graphics, from pre-production to postproduction including maps, calendars, Power Point presentations, and special requests.
  • Prepares files for use by internal and external printers.
  • Assist with the creation of maps, fact sheets, announcements, and collaterals.
  • Assist with the posting of Communications and Transportation Development items on the FTE website.
  • Provide day-to-day operational support to the Marketing & Communications Department
  • Provide proofreading support in accordance with Department guidelines.
  • Ability to work occasional after-hours assignments for special events.
  • Event support
  • Support in the accomplishment of overall team goals
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What will you contribute?

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, public relations, marketing, or related major OR Associates degree with two years of related experience. The typical incumbent has 3 to 5 year’s of social media experience.
  • Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite graphic design software.
  • Experienced in social media posting, content creation and graphic design.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office package (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) at an advanced level
  • Experience with preparing print-ready files.
  • Skilled in proofreading, editing and preparing documents for publishing and distribution.
  • Knowledge of basic HTML and WordPress.
