As we expand our digital presence and engage with a diverse global audience, we are seeking a creative and innovative Social Media Channel Manager to help our social channel hum and grow with best-in-class content and community management designs to grow and engage existing, new, and diverse audiences.

About The Role

Recently acquired by private equity group MSP Capital, we’re in an exciting rebuilding phase and searching for an action sports and social media expert with proven experience optimizing Instagram and TikTok content to grow and engage new and diverse audiences. Y

ou know what good looks like, are a community management natural, and pride yourself on programming social channels to get maximum results for X Games and our partners.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate best practice channel optimizations and posting plans, working with a talented team of producer-editors and analysts to engage X Games audiences on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and more.
• Own UGC & AGC campaigns.
• Work with our Digital Coordinator to stay weeks/months ahead on staple content, campaigns, branded content, and posting schedules.
• Be our trend and pop culture expert, ensuring X Games shows up in pop culture spaces and participates or starts trends authentically.
• Own community management, starting conversations, replying, and jumping on athletes, artists, trending accounts, and trends to make X part of the conversation across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Twitch, Snapchat & more.
• Own posting schedule and process, working with content strategy to ensure best practices, and carry out A/B testing.
• Craft original copy and responses that meet tone of voice standards.
• Educate internally to ensure the team is aware of emerging trends and opportunities.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to conceptualize and produce visually appealing and high-quality multimedia content, including images, videos, infographics, and more.
• Strategize content plans for events, campaigns, and original content launches.
• Ideate and present repeatable content franchises for X Games and our partners.
• Identify and collaborate with influencers and partners to amplify brand messaging and expand reach — owning influencer/creator/athlete relationships.
• Working with tools such as Conviva, Sprout, Sprinkler, Slate, and Greenfly.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in social media management, and programming, with a proven track record of successful content campaigns.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• Expert in utilizing social media management tools, analytics platforms, and CMS, and presenting work in easy-to-comprehend formats.
• Strong understanding of various social media platforms, their nuances, and best practices for audience engagement, reach, and growth.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to align content efforts with broader content, marketing, and business goals.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Passionate about learning the latest industry trends, digital marketing advancements, and emerging technologies.
• Comfortable in ambiguity, biases to action, earn trust, and delivers results.
• Basic Editing experience (Adobe, etc)
• Pride yourself on process and operations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Action sports fan (skate, BMX, moto, snowboard, ski, surf, etc.)
• Action sports industry and or athlete relationships.
• Familiar with Airtable.
