Origin is seeking a Social Media and Content Manager to join our growing Marketing team. In this role, you will work in direct partnership with the VP of Marketing, travel team curators, and cross-functional stakeholders.
You will play a critical role in developing and executing content strategies that align with our brand and marketing goals. You will manage a high-volume content calendar and produce captivating content that showcases the Origin brand. Responsibilities
- Leading and executing Origin’s creative content strategy and development across social media, blog content, emails, videos, and more.
- Owning the day-to-day execution of social media content for a variety of channels in partnership with the Travel, Operations, and Growth Marketing Teams.
- Collaborating with the growth marketing and creative teams to produce, develop, and evaluate content for paid efforts.
- Improving the Origin branded content experience by leveraging channel-specific creative strategies and branded content to increase awareness and engagement around Origin’s unique offering.
- Developing social content frameworks and guidelines for the larger organization.
- Managing social media publishing and engagement across a variety of digital channels, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and YouTube.
- Overseeing weekly editorial calendar maintenance and engagement reporting.
- Keeping a pulse on trending content and quickly executing so Origin can play a timely role in social conversations.
- Working closely with leadership to identify strategic messaging and creative opportunities.
- Partnering with the HR/Recruiting team to develop employee brand and company culture content on relevant channels like LinkedIn and Glassdoor.
- Establishing benchmarks and defining, analyzing, and reporting on key metrics, using social data to create strategic recommendations that improve channel health.
- Conducting an in-depth quarterly competitive analysis by auditing and monitoring key competitors and using insights to adapt our social strategy.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Brand, Advertising, or Social Content.
- A degree in Journalism, English, PR, Communications, or a related field with multimedia production experience is preferred.
- Experience managing the social media presence for a consumer brand, preferably in travel, luxury brands, or hospitality.
- Competency with social tools, including social listening, audience insight, and community management tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite).
- Experience in building and executing global programs with global teams and a wide range of key stakeholders.
- A proven track record of defining and executing campaign strategies that deliver against funnel metrics and KPIs.
- A willingness to be a hands-on creator on a growing, all-hands-on-deck creative team.
- The ability to multitask and support creative work for a variety of platforms with live and evolving deadlines.
- Experience with software such as Figma, Photoshop, Premiere, Splice, Canva, or other photo/video editing tools, as well as Google Office, Slack, and other team collaboration software, is preferred.
- Exceptional writing skills and the ability to translate complex topics into simple, digestible copy.
- An eye for design and creating compelling on-brand content.
- Experience in both short-form and long-form video production.

This role is a hybrid role based out of the San Francisco Bay Area with an expectation to come into our co-working space in San Francisco 2-3 times a week.
