The Social Media and Content Intern will be responsible for assisting in day-to-day operations and management of First Mutual Holding Co.’s member bank social media channels, including planning, creating, scheduling and posting content.

Additional responsibilities include content writing to support the company’s mission of providing quality financial services to customers.

Duties And Responsibilities

Social Media

  • Work with the marketing team to promote each member bank’s campaigns, special events, products and services on social media.
  • Assist with managing and monitoring each bank’s social media content calendar.
  • Analyze and report on social media posts and data to increase channel engagement and effectiveness.
  • Create engaging content to increase bank brand awareness.
  • Contribute creative ideas for social media projects and opportunities.

Content and Marketing

  • Be a storyteller by writing and producing content that showcases each bank’s brand story and community involvement.
  • Write and produce website copy and promotional materials.
  • Find opportunities to leverage existing content in new ways.
  • Support the marketing team by working on projects, assisting with assigned tasks and general activities including but not limited to tracking invoices, campaign and event support, managing supplies and promotional products inventory.

General Responsibilities

  • Complies with all applicable banking laws and regulations, including, but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act, and related anti-money laundering statutes, and federal consumer protection legislation and regulations.
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements

Skills and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required AND must be working towards Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or Journalism.
  • Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required.
  • Proficiency in communication tools [MS Teams, Zoom] or similar software is required.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and management tools (AgoraPulse, Sprout or similar tools) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of AP Style is preferred.
