Consults with lines of business leadership, retail and marketing staff, etc. to offer guidance on editorial content and ad direction.

Works closely with media relations staff to amplify corporate news and augment traditional media channels. Manages customer service issues that surface via social media and works with HR on recruitment messaging, and with customer experience to ensure that efforts are aligned.

What You’ll Do:

• Develops and refines corporate social media strategy to respond to the marketplace.
• Offers strategic guidance to individual lines of business and retail on ad and editorial content.
• Directs daily activities/workflow of social media strategist and/or less experienced staff.
• Coordinates efforts with traditional media relations staff in order to leverage the news value of corporate announcements and/or programs.
• Works with others in corporate communications (and outside PR counsel) to coordinate messaging and social media venues.
• Troubleshoots and monitors the customer service aspect of social media.
• Stays up to date on emerging social media trends through education and research.
• Work environment: Typical office environment. Work may involve some travel between office buildings. Some frequent/out-of-town travel may be required.

To Qualify For This Position, You’ll Need

• Bachelor’s Degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Liberal Arts, or other job-related field.
• Five (5) years of experience in a mid-to-large organization developing/implementing social media strategy to include experience with planning/managing/executing successful social media campaigns and crafting content for social media properties (Facebook, blogs, Twitter, etc.).
• Exceptional strategic planning skills
• Develops social media campaigns
• Coordinates work with other media formats

• Monitors effectiveness
• Tracks applications
• Microsoft Office.

We Prefer That You Have

• Working knowledge of all social media platforms.
• Professional Social Media Experience.
• Photography and Videography experience
• Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills.
