Position Overview: BYU is seeking a part-time Senior Social Media Specialist to join the award-winning external relations team for the College of Fine Arts and Communications. The ideal candidate will bring creative flair, a passion for the arts, and expertise in social media management to contribute to the college’s and university’s campaigns and public relations efforts.

Responsibilities:

• Draft and post engaging social media content on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter/X.
• Develop content calendars and audience audits.
• Generate monthly reports, including dashboards, leaderboards, and audience audits.
• Create content for toolkits and collaborate on college campaigns.
• Monitor and manage comments, messages, and followers.
• Collaborate with students, clubs, and professors to curate compelling content.

Qualifications:

• Experience managing social media pages for an organization and creating content.
• Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
• Attention to detail with proficiency in proofreading.
• Understanding of social media analytics.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Proficiency with web and mobile versions of social media platforms.
• Quick response and follow-up in various situations.
• Longevity preferred (at least 9-12 months).
