As the Director of Global Social Media Marketing for Celebrity Cruises, you will play a pivotal role in developing and championing the brand’s social media strategy.

You will be responsible for growing followers and engagement across various social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, TikTok, and emerging platforms. In this leadership position, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams in marketing, content, design, and communications to create experiences that strengthen the connection between Celebrity Cruises and its guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with the brand’s goals and objectives.
  • Team Management: Lead and oversee the Global Social Media team, ensuring high-quality strategic execution and project delivery.
  • Onboard Integration: Plan and drive social media integration throughout the cruise vacation experience, both online and onboard the ships.
  • User-Generated Content: Enable guests to tell the brand story through social media conversations and user-generated content.
  • Campaign Coordination: Coordinate the planning of social media campaigns to support customer acquisition and key marketing initiatives.
  • Influencer Strategy: Oversee influencer strategy and community management efforts.
  • Data Analysis: Continuously optimize messaging and content output efforts by setting benchmarks and analyzing data to meet campaign targets.
  • Content Development: Lead channel-specific content development to maximize consumption and engagement across platforms.
  • Technology Evaluation: Evaluate and provide perspective on new social media technologies and tools, assessing their impact on brand objectives and revenue potential.
  • Agency Relationships: Manage relationships with major social platforms to leverage new technologies, collaborate on content development, and maximize reach.
  • Campaign Management: Ideate, develop, manage, and execute social media programs and campaigns that align with business goals and objectives.
  • Budget Oversight: Responsible for the global social media budget and agency relationships.
  • Data Insights: Ensure that social media data is leveraged to drive social media strategy.

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills:

  • Experienced marketer with a track record of developing and implementing strategic plans.
  • Global experience in leadership roles.
  • Proven success with high-profile digital and social media marketing campaigns.
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms and monitoring tools.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing best practices.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to present ideas effectively.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills.
  • Availability to work outside of standard office hours as social media is “always on.”
