Community + Social Media Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate individual to join our team and be responsible for managing and growing the Cubby community across various social media platforms, creating and curating engaging content, working with influencers, and building relationships online and offline.

The successful candidate will have experience developing online communities and is able to relate to parents of children with special needs such as autism, cerebral palsy, down syndrome, and other similar diagnoses.

Responsibilities & Impact

  • Build brand awareness while educating current and potential customers
  • Develop a tight-knit community of parents and caregivers, and help foster genuine connections between themselves and the brand
  • Manage and grow social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, etc.)
  • Answer social media comments across posts, ads, and community groups
  • Develop and execute a content strategy that aligns with overall brand messaging and goals
  • Research and identify topics that will appeal to our audience and generate engagement
  • Develop and maintain a content calendar that aligns with the overall marketing plan
  • Develop and produce engaging, informative, and visually appealing content
  • Collaborate with influencers + industry professionals to create content and promote Cubby
  • Manage influencer’s project timelines and content
  • Establish clear goals and metrics, regularly audit performance, and identify opportunities to continually improve performance
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience building and managing online communities
  • Proven experience in social media management and content creation
  • Experience managing influencer campaigns and content
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field is a plus
  • Experience working for a startup or in a small team environment preferred
  • Experience working with the special needs community is a plus

Skills + Abilities

  • Expert in the management + growth of social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok)
  • Proficiency with social media management tools (e.g. Hootsuite, Agorapulse)
  • Proficiency with content creation tools (e.g. Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Strong knowledge of social media performance metrics
  • Excellent communication, copywriting, and interpersonal skills
  • Great visual eye and understanding of branding and esthetics
  • Ability to act independently and to be self-motivated
  • Extremely organized while also being flexible and able to pivot quickly
  • Team Player with a positive attitude and a growth mindset
  • Passion and awareness of brands doing community well
  • Willingness to learn, continually improve, and desire to be a team player
  • Ability to relate to parents of children with special needs
  • Passionate about Cubby’s mission
