A typical day might include some of the following writing/editing all content on all of the company’s social media channels, forms of collateral, ad copy, direct mail, emails, press releases, internal communications, and website content updates. The ideal candidate must be able to work autonomously or as part of a team.

Marketing And Social Media Manager Responsibilities

  • Concept/write/edit email and direct mail campaigns (HubSpot platform)
  • Concept/write/edit all social media content across all platforms
  • Assistance with Google ads content (PPC/SEM)
  • Concept/write/edit/manage digital/print collateral/asset development/production (sales sheets, infographics, brochures, ads, job descriptions, podcasts, videos, ad hoc pieces)
  • Assistance in creation of thought leadership materials (case studies, Q&As)
  • Writing press releases
  • Strengthen and manage corporate social media calendar to build brand awareness
  • Assist with creation of quarterly/annual marketing reports
  • Assist with development of content for corporate speaking engagements
  • Writing social copy, video scripts, web pages, email, and others
  • Flex from writer to editor, collaborate cross-functionally to ensure outstanding quality, cohesion, and impact of copy across all marketing and product touch points from paid ads to emails, landing pages to video scripts

Business Development

  • Support development/review of sales presentations/proposals/RFP responses
  • Work with BD team to create ad hoc competitive intelligence reports, as needed
  • Collaborate with BD team to create targeted messaging

Recruiting

  • Collaborate with/oversee Recruitment Marketing Assistant in creation of email marketing campaigns, recruitment ads, social media posts, job descriptions

Qualifications and Skills

  • Talented storyteller with exceptional writing/editing/proofreading skills; ability to simplify the complex
  • Knowledge of marketing automation (HubSpot, etc.) and CRM (Salesforce) platforms
  • Experience with creating/managing web content, SEO (knowledge of WordPress a plus)
  • Experience creating/producing podcasts and videos a plus
  • Ability to generate marketing collateral/assets from concept through final product
  • Creative problem-solver and strategic thinker with willingness to partner with others and learn new skills if necessary
  • Strong content/project management skills
  • Team player with strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Healthcare experience, knowledge of anesthesia services and the RFP process all pluses

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • 5+ years of proven experience, knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Must have excellent writing skills (writing samples will be requested)
  • Ability to respond to RFPs
  • Highly proficient with project management and problem-solving
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, lead resources across multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines
  • BA/BS degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or Advertising or equivalent.
  • In-depth knowledge of content development, content strategy, social media, data and analytics and listening platforms, and content and social standard methodologies.
  • Experience in content development and writing
  • Excellent copywriting and copyediting skills, a requirement.
  • Able to develop a team in high-visibility scenarios.
  • Can effectively collaborate and build relationships with key business partners across departments and functions
