The Social Media Specialist will implement Republic Bank’s social media initiatives by contributing to strategy development, creating, and curating compelling content in the Brand’s voice, accelerating social media community growth and engagement, and monitoring our communities and collaborating across the organization to promptly address opportunities and challenges surfaced by our community.

This position will work in an environment blending Republic Bank’s heritage of delivering memorable customer service, innovative products and technology, and meaningful community involvement, and will be expected to bring to the Bank innovative Social Media initiatives building on these strengths.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in business administration, marketing or communications required, and 2 years of social media or digital marketing experience preferred.

• Hands-on experience creating content for and managing communities on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn required, with similar experience with YouTube and other emerging social media platforms preferred.

• Demonstrable skills in content creation for digital communications, including copywriting, graphics and video production and editing required, with experience in creating animation preferred.

• Demonstrable skills in digital storytelling for brands and organizations appropriately for each social media platform’s community required.

• Excellent project management skills, including managing and maintaining content calendars, scheduling social media activity, and coordinating content creation required.

• Experience with social media management and monitoring software (e.g., Sprout Social, HubSpot, Hootsuite, Meltwater) required.

• Experience managing paid social media advertising preferred.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• In collaboration with the Digital Marketing Manager, develop the Bank’s social media strategy and implement tactics to accelerate social media community growth and engagement.

• Independently, and in collaboration with other members of the marketing team and its agencies, create content including copy, graphics, video, and animation for Republic Bank’s social media presence, as well as other digital communications platforms such as the Bank’s website, mobile apps and intranet.

• Utilize skills in storytelling to enhance Republic Bank’s Brand position with key audiences as the most financially sound and trusted institution where people love to work, clients love to do business, and with whom community organizations love to partner.

• Monitor our communities and collaborate across the organization to promptly address opportunities and challenges surfaced by our community.

• Develop and maintain social media content calendars, schedule social media activity, and report on project status to supervisor.

• Utilize social media management and monitoring software to plan, forecast results, monitor, and optimize our efforts; also evaluate and recommend changes and additions to our suite of social media tools.

• Monitor and report on KPIs to evaluate our progress in increasing client and prospect engagement, interest, and conversion to becoming clients or expanding existing relationships.

• Remain current on advancements in technologies or best practices, particularly digital, and possesses a deep enthusiasm for the role these technologies play in our customers’ everyday lives.

• Maintain a working knowledge of compliance requirements affecting your position and area of responsibilities and actively learn new regulations and assist in the implementation, if required.

• Model and foster behaviors that support the Bank’s values and corporate culture creating an atmosphere of trust, cooperation, accountability, and dedication to the organization.

• Willingly perform all other duties and projects as assigned.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• Travel between Republic Banking facilities may be required.

• Occasional out-of-town travel may be required.

• Flexible work schedule that will include some evenings, weekends, and overtime.
