The Social Media Specialist will assist with the day-to-day execution of the Bank’s social media campaigns in partnership with the B2B and B2C Social Media Managers. This includes management of all organic and paid calendars, content briefing, ad creation, execution, daily monitoring, social listening, risk escalation, tracking, and reporting. The Social Media Specialist will assist the Social Care Manager in monitoring activity on the Bank’s social media profiles and app review sites, engaging and properly managing through the Bank’s social care/engagement process.

Responsibilities include working with teams across Fifth Third Bancorp and our agency partners in the development and execution of social media content that align with social media strategy. The Social Media Specialist will also provide social media trends, opportunities and best practices for the B2C and B2B businesses. This individual will have responsibility for executing campaigns, and reporting on outcomes.

While operating within the Bank’s risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Execution. Execute social media strategies, both paid and organic, across all platforms, as directed by manager – Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram and more – for B2C and B2B teams. Stay on top of the rapidly evolving social media scene, as well as efforts of key competitors.
  • Collaboration. Partner with Brand, Design, LOB Marketing Managers, Legal and Compliance in development and publishing of organic and paid social media content within the communications calendar and priorities of the marketing team.
  • Reporting. Continuously deliver actionable analysis of social media results, with monthly and quarterly reporting that gives clear and concise summaries of effort and outcome
  • Paid campaigns. Assist in executing the Paid Social Media strategy, briefing in agency partners, Brand and Design.
  • Organic social. Manage the Bancorp-wide organic calendar and execute the organic social strategy and content set by manager in coordination with cross-functional groups.
  • Agency management. Assist with work of a social media agency, always holding the agency accountable for top-quality content and support. Coordinate the creative assets within the social media platform.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or other related field and/or equivalent work-related experience.
  • A minimum of 1 – 3 years in social media marketing.
  • Previous experience in managing successful social media programs required.
  • Demonstrated ability of managing and executing end-to-end social media advertising from budgets and planning to implementation, optimization, and reporting.
  • Must be familiar with social media management platforms (ie. Sprinklr), to manage daily social media activities, content creation, execution, and reporting.
  • Expertise in the online space (web, email, search, podcasting, blogging, etc.) and demonstrated knowledge of fundamental digital marketing distribution.
  • Clear understanding of the digital ecosystem and how to integrate social media, as well as achieve and articulate success.
  • Experience with regulatory issues regarding the use of social media for financial services or other highly regulated industries
  • Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities within specified timeframes.
