We’re looking for a Director of Social Media to build out a best-in-class social strategy for our top brands, ZAGG and Mophie. You will lead our Advocacy efforts and create best-in-class owned, paid, and earned social content.

You will drive authentic, diverse, and elevated brand activations on platforms like TikTok, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, and YouTube. You will also be responsible for activating brand storytelling, and breakthrough messaging, through relevant influencers and brand advocates.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Own the development and execution of our global social marketing strategy, positioning ZAGG and Mophie brands as the place to discover the best in protection and power for your mobile devices.
  • Unifying data, technology, media, and strategy to redefine how we create, optimize, and distribute content and experiences.
  • Oversee the creation, distribution, and community management of on-brand content across all channels in collaboration with internal creative team and agencies.
  • Collaborating seamlessly with product marketing and other marketing leaders to support GTM launches.
  • Lead the development of seasonal and evergreen influencer campaigns, collaborating closely with product marketing, digital marketing, PR, design, and other cross-functional teams to ensure communications across channels are integrated.
  • Define clear, aggressive goals and metrics to track the performance of social marketing channels focused on driving follower growth, engagement, and sales.
  • Regularly report on these metrics to senior-level executives and continuously optimize the strategy and creative elements to ensure effectiveness.
  • Craft persuasive, data-driven narratives that establish a clear link between social marketing efforts and tangible business outcomes and champion findings at all levels of the organization.
  • Identify and implement test & learn social opportunities
  • Drive digital initiatives, including creating and supervising high-profile social channel accounts, curating user-generated content, launching viral marketing campaigns, monitoring social forums to keep positive sentiment, and integrating social media into the overall business strategy.
  • Leading and inspiring an in-house Social Media team.
  • Develop an editorial calendar and social media strategy to support audience growth across all major social media platforms (X, Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, LinkedIn etc)

What You’ll Need to be Successful

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, market research, or a related field
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in social media, influencer relations, and paid media for a consumer brand – ideally in the consumer electronics/accessories space
  • Strong understanding and eye for editorial content and creative
  • Strong understanding of social media algorithms, platforms, and best practices
  • Ability to deliver insights and points of view based on data
  • A natural ability to take complex ideas and consolidate them into bite-sized content that’s educational and relatable
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Creative, innovative, and bold in presenting ideas and finding ways to implement them
  • Ability to collaborate, influence, and communicate clearly with internal stakeholders
