Chubb’s Global Social Media team is seeking a summer intern to help create and edit content for the company’s social media channels, aligned with our global marketing and communications strategy. You will have the opportunity to craft social posts that will be seen by thousands of Chubb followers—and pitch ideas for new, innovative forms of content—all while working alongside a team of experienced and welcoming social media practitioners from around the world.

Our summer internship program offers the chance to have practical, real world experience at one of the world’s leading insurance companies. As a part of the program, you will have the opportunity to work on marketing and communications projects where you will gain knowledge to supplement and strengthen your academic skills. You will support projects related to social campaigns, analytics, listening, and community management. As Part Of Our Internship Program You Will Receive

  • Targeted training in communications, marketing, and social media, designed to help you refine your professional skills and acumen critical to the success of Chubb professionals;
  • Exposure to enterprise social media management and community management platforms, allowing you to deepen your technical skill level as a social media manager;
  • Mentoring from Chubb social media leaders on-site in NYC, Philadelphia, and around the globe
  • Access to additional training to compliment your professional development.

Internship Program is planned to start in JUNE 2024. It can be based in New York, NY or Philadelphia, PA.

Qualifications

  • Students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing or related fields preferred
  • Strong GPA preferred (3.0 required)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience with (and aptitude for) social media copywriting, design, community management, listening and/or analytics
  • Prior experience managing and growing social media audiences preferred
  • Experience working with Canva a plus
  • Expertise with at least 1-2 social media platforms (X/Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, Reddit, YouTube, Threads, Bluesky, etc.)
  • Leadership experience through work or involvement in community service, athletics, clubs, or other activities preferred
  • Proactive approach to work assignments
  • Eager to learn about social media in a corporate setting

The pay range for this internship is $18 to $24 per hour. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors. The disclosed pay range estimate may be adjusted for the applicable geographic differential for the location in which the position is filled.
