Our mission is to support children, youth, families, and seniors from crisis to stability to well-being.

Position Summary: The social media intern will enliven social media and digital communication presence to increase brand awareness and to grow and engage likely supporters and influencers. The social media specialist will work collaboratively in a small team and plays an important role in promoting the work of the Agency to increase support and awareness and engage those who want to make a difference for all who face economic and societal barriers.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Plan, create, implement, and measure social media campaigns.
  • Develop fresh digital content for social media, including short, impactful videos.
  • As needed, designs digital flyers and marketing materials to support program events and campaigns.
  • Creates high-quality visual designs that align with social media best practices and Catholic Charities standards.
  • Measures reach and engagement of social media content and grows followers, recommending opportunities for improvement based on data.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing social media campaigns and marketing initiatives.
  • Strong, capable visual design, writing, editing, and planning skills.
  • Demonstrated use of data and measurement to track and improve social media efforts.
  • Understands and applies audience analysis and branding.
  • Collaborative, self-starter, and works productively in a team environment.
  • A passion for making a difference .
  • Excellent computer skills, including the Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite. Short video editing on phones.
  • Excellent presentation skills, including the use of PowerPoint or similar presentation software.
  • Ability to multi-task, establish priorities, and demonstrate flexibility.
  • Good business judgment.

  • Must have valid California Driver’s License, insurance, and access to vehicle.
