The world’s leading auction house, Christie’s is seeking a social media professional to support, optimize and grow our social media properties. An unprecedented number of online sales, virtual exhibitions, and virtual events has put the spotlight on Christie’s social media as a way of efficiently and effectively communicating to both current and future clients. With a core focus on social calendarization and analytics, this role will be part of a dynamic, fast-paced team that relies on strong cross-functional relationships, as well as keen industry, brand and cultural awareness.

Specific duties & responsibilities will include but are not limited to

• Social media calendarization, messaging and execution across channels including Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok and Youtube
• Maintain voice of luxury expertise while also ensuring an effective tonality for social platforms adhering to brand guidelines
• Own organization, tracking and optimization of social media performance using insight tools (Dash Hudson, Channel Business Managers, Adobe Analytics)
• Utilize social media analytics tools for monthly social reporting, campaign reports, competitive deep-dives/benchmarking, community sentiment and trend alerts
• Manage strategic collaboration and foster alignment across global social teams and cross-functional marketing, press, video, editorial teams
• Support cross-functional marketing and specialist teams on all sale promotions, corporate news reporting and event activations across main and specialty social accounts
• Identify and adapt social best practices, trends, platforms and technologies through competitive analysis and research
• Manages approval process with internal and external stakeholders
• Assess competitors, monitoring activity at key moments and recommending performance mitigations when necessary
• Act as a resource for social media best practices for cross-functional teams, balancing both audience development/engagement and brand identity in all decision making
• Collaborate with global teams on paid social synergy and ideation

The Candidate

• Minimum of 3 years experience managing social channels
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Pro-active critical thinking skills with the ability to take initiative, anticipate next steps and offer recommendations and solutions
• Professional team-player, flexible, positive, engaged, responsible, creative and willing to continually learn with the potential to assume increased responsibility
• Strong passion for art, luxury, and/or digital landscapes and knowledge of popular culture and current media trends
• Experience with social management and analytics platforms such as Sprout and other tools used for editing, reviewing, uploading, and publishing
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Suite

Compensation Range

Salary: $55,000.00 – $65,000.00
