The Healio News Social Media Intern will play a crucial role in supporting the Social Media Specialist in the development and execution of Healio News’ social media strategy, adhering to the Healio News tone and voice. This internship offers hands-on experience in social media management, analytics, and content creation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Social Media Specialist to implement the Healio News social media strategy.
• Track and analyze social media analytics to enhance engagement and reach.
• Identify and connect with key opinion leaders in core specialties.
• Generate daily posts tailored to the HCP (Healthcare Professional) audience to stimulate interest in Healio content.
• Liaise with marketing and design teams to ensure cohesive messaging.
• Develop a comprehensive social media content planner.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a degree program in English, Journalism, or Communications.
• Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, work under deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
• Preferably, some prior experience with social media.

Responsibilities:

• Engage the HCP audience through various social media platforms to promote Healio content.
• Monitor social media feeds for mentions, reactions, and shares.
• Provide regular updates on social media analytics to optimize strategy.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:

• Comfortable using a computer for extended periods (both seated and standing).
• Proficient use of the phone for communication.

Salary and Internship Details:

• Hourly wage: $15.13 per hour.
• Internship commitment: 10 hours per week.
