Forrester is actively seeking an experienced Social and Digital Media Specialist to join our corporate brand and demand strategy and operations team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in executing social and paid media brand and demand campaigns, focusing on increasing engagement, fostering community, and driving demand among our target audience in the technology, digital, customer experience, marketing, sales, and product functions.

Role Overview: This role requires a dynamic individual with a blend of strategic, analytical, and tactical skills to manage Forrester’s global social and paid media presence. The successful candidate should have a proven track record of collaborating on impactful marketing campaigns and a strong understanding of the social and paid media landscape, trends, and platforms. Reporting to the senior social media manager, you will work closely with the social media and demand marketing teams, a digital media agency, and collaborate with other global marketing teams and cross-functional teams.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling and Publishing:
    • Manage organic content scheduling and publishing across Forrester’s corporate and employer brand social media channels.
    • Oversee editorial calendars.
    • Manage Forrester’s employee advocacy platform, including reviewing and scheduling content, answering user questions, and supporting platform onboarding and training.
  • Community Management:
    • Perform day-to-day community management across social media channels, monitoring and responding to social discussions.
    • Engage in relevant conversations about our company, competitors, and industry, flagging opportunities for brand support and interaction.
  • Content Development:
    • Lead in social and paid content development, including submitting copy and creative requests, reviewing drafts, and collaborating with content owners and demand program leads.
    • Act as a self-starter in writing social copy as needed.
  • Paid Media Campaigns:
    • Partner with the demand marketing team and digital media agency to develop and execute paid media campaigns across various channels.
    • Collaborate with events and field marketing teams for integrated digital campaigns promoting Forrester webinars and paid events.
    • Support the development of account-based marketing programs.
  • Observing Social Media Landscape:
    • Spearhead competitor and industry research relevant to the social media landscape.
    • Update master specs document to ensure internal teams are informed of platform updates.
  • Analytics and Reporting:
    • Create reports using performance data from Sprinklr and other tools.
    • Analyze data to draw observations and make strategic recommendations for content and campaign evolution.
    • Identify opportunities to improve measurement and reporting on social performance.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in social media marketing; B2B marketing, brand marketing, and demand marketing experience is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience managing digital and social advertising campaigns.
  • Solid understanding of the social media vertical, content creation, distribution methods, and social analytics.
  • Experience with Google Ads and paid social platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram); knowledge of retargeting platforms/networks and third-party advertising is a plus.
  • Knowledge of leveraging social media platforms like LinkedIn, Twitter, and YouTube for brand awareness, thought leadership, and demand.
  • Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Sprinklr, Sprout Social) and native social media channels.
  • Curiosity about the constant evolution of the social media vertical and its application to Forrester’s social growth.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective collaboration with colleagues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to prioritize and multitask under shifting deadlines.
  • Persistence and tenacity in driving results.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft apps and services (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Experience with Google Analytics and YouTube Analytics is a plus.
