The Lumistella Company is looking for a Temporary Social Media Specialist to join our team! The Temporary Social Media Specialist will provide critical, tactical, and strategic support for a dynamic Global Marketing team.

They will partner with the Sr. Manager of Consumer Brand Marketing to tell brand stories across a variety of channels and strengthen our relationship with our customers, influencers, and fan base.  They will have a meaningful impact at an exciting, values-driven company where being creative is as important as being analytical.

The Social Media Specialist supports content development and strategy for all social media platforms.

They must actively publish content, and oversee community management, for the company’s global social media channels.

They are also responsible for social listening, establishing and tracking KPIs associated with social media performance, supporting influencer programs, understanding and championing our brand voice, and working with the Digital Media team to develop social media content that keeps the company and its brands relevant for our fans.

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, English, Journalism, Communications, Public Relations or a related field required.
  • 3-6 years of experience coordinating social media for brands/organizations; agency preferred.
  • At least 1 year of social media content creation experience.
  • Must possess a deep and intuitive understanding of social media, with an emphasis on Facebook, Facebook Groups, Instagram and Twitter
  • Has experience working for a consumer-packaged goods brands (family-brand or children’s media company preferred) or has strong understanding of those audiences.
  • Has a keen visual eye and is a meticulous proofreader.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft PowerPoint, Google Analytics, and Microsoft Excel is a plus and
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data and metrics to drive decision-making and measure success

Essential Job functions include:

  • Conducts day-to-day monitoring of all social media posts for domestic handles (year-round) and for international handles (Q1-Q3).
  • Accurately assesses customer engagement and actively responds or redirects, as needed.
  • Engages with fans and ensures appropriate brand voice on each social platform; partners with the Senior Manager of International to help International Partners prepare for and engage with our brand on the company’s global social channels.
  • Ideates new social activations, such as content series, engagement strategies, contests, and giveaways.
  • Work with the Digital Media team to create compelling and on-brand social media content (including posts, images, videos, etc.) to engage the community and drive conversation
  • Schedules and publishes content for current or future social media channels.
  • Ensures all content across channels is optimized toward campaign goals and assesses content performance across channels/platforms to best determine content success and/or provide recommendations and
  • Supports Sr. Manager of Consumer Brand Marketing in all strategic initiatives, including strategic planning and development of Marketing plans.
  • Protect company assets through the proper management of asset files and adherence to company policy with regard to information security and management.
