As a Social Media Specialist at ASM, you will play a vital role in empowering student-athletes through effective online presence and engagement. Your responsibilities will involve developing and executing a comprehensive social media strategy, curating compelling content, managing social media calendars, monitoring industry trends, and ensuring a positive online presence. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic field and positively impact the lives of student-athletes.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to enhance engagement, increase brand visibility, and attract the target audience.
  • Create and curate engaging content for various social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
  • Manage the social media content calendar, schedule posts, and optimize posting times and frequency based on engagement data.
  • Stay updated on trends and developments in the NCAA sports recruiting industry and incorporate them into the social media strategy.
  • Interact with followers, respond to comments and messages, and maintain a positive and authentic online presence.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and content teams to ensure social media content aligns with overall marketing goals and messaging.
  • Analyze social media performance using analytics tools and provide data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Keep abreast of social media trends, algorithms, and best practices.
  • Assist current clients with their ASM online profiles and videos to align with coach expectations.
  • Maintain regular communication with ASM’s Operations Director to discuss social media strategy, content plans, and relevant matters.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in social media management, preferably in the sports or recruiting industry.
  • Passion for sports and a genuine desire to support student-athletes.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically Adobe Express, for content production and management.
  • Proficiency in Canva for content creation and management.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in social media scheduling and analytics tools like Hootsuite, HubSpot, Amplitude, or Airbridge.
  • Experience in managing and configuring Meta Business Suite.
  • Familiarity with CMS tools like Webflow, WordPress, or Drupal.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic to intermediate graphic design skills.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to develop engaging and visually appealing content.
  • Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations related to recruiting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
