The Senior Digital and Social Media Specialist will lead the strategic planning and execution of original content across media channels, with a strong emphasis on social media, to increase awareness and affinity for brands.

The role involves delivering content plans to support growth objectives while simultaneously enhancing brand awareness and engagement.

Collaboration with brand teams, agency partners, and internal stakeholders is crucial to identify strategic initiatives and develop creative content that drives growth.

Additionally, the Specialist will analyze and measure insights, reporting on social key performance indicators (KPIs) to stakeholders.

  • Lead the content strategy, creation, and execution for assigned brands in collaboration with cross-functional partners, including brand marketing, design, multimedia, Consumer Experience, PR, IT, and others.
  • Manage content planning, strategic vision, and reporting for business unit social platforms.
  • Develop and execute communication strategies across media channels to achieve marketing objectives, encompassing owned, paid, and earned channels.
  • Develop industry-leading creative assets, either internally or in partnership with creative teams/agency partners.
  • Provide thought leadership on social media and cultural trends relevant to the organization.
  • Identify and capitalize on social media trends aligned with brand vision and marketing strategies.
  • Administer social media accounts for assigned brands, ensuring high-quality, timely, on-trend content and maintaining distinct brand tones. Contribute ideas for improving content and messaging.
  • Advocate brand standards across social channel profiles and individual assets.
  • Oversee paid media promotions on social platforms, from creating paid assets to managing budgets and consumer targeting.
  • Develop and manage community management guidelines and recommendations for inquiries and communication related to products, services, customer accounts, websites/mobile apps, etc.
  • Partner with the Consumer Experience team to ensure brand voice and quality standards are maintained during consumer engagement and collaborate on future needs.
  • Gather, analyze, and communicate digital and social media KPIs to stakeholders, utilizing native insights, social management, and website analytic tools. Recommend optimizations based on reporting and insights.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute campaigns in areas such as corporate communications, culinary, PR, promotions, events, sponsorships, and corporate giving.
  • Write original copy in the brand’s voice for various media, including social, websites, email, scripts, brochures, and print marketing materials, fostering creativity and effectively conveying meaningful messages that inspire reader action. Collaboration with design and multimedia team members is essential.
  • Train and develop peers and team members on social best practices, and, if applicable, on paid social strategy and execution.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in social media platforms, content creation, and digital marketing.
  • Experience with KPI metrics, monitoring, and analytics tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of experience in social media/community management and digital marketing within the CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) industry.
