The Social Media Manager is a crucial member of the Cavalier Resort’s in-house marketing team, specializing in social media management and partner marketing.

This role requires extensive on-platform experience, the ability to run successful campaigns, and a deep understanding of multi-channel marketing strategies. Working closely with the Resort’s Marketing Manager, the Social Media Manager will cultivate partnerships with internal departments, external clients, and partners.

Responsibilities encompass overseeing the resort’s social media platforms and digital presence, including hotel properties, restaurant outlets, and unique amenities. Through innovative social media strategies, this position plays a pivotal role in enhancing the brand presence, engaging audiences, and driving growth and interaction for Cavalier Resort across various social media platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Attend seasonal socials, Signature Events, and other Cavalier Resort events, and showcase them on social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram.
  • Lead the creative content strategy for social media channels, including drafting copy, scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, conducting analyses, and providing reports.
  • Create engaging and visually appealing content, including images, videos, and written copy, for social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and emerging platforms.
  • Support content calendar management and development for special programs, campaigns, and brand initiatives.
  • Define budgets for campaigns and allocate resources efficiently to achieve desired results.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Manager and Graphic Artist on social media and Digital Ad content creation as needed.
  • Interact directly with guests and clients on social media and review platforms with minimal input from management.
  • Research the competitive landscape to identify seasonal trends, strategic initiatives, best practices, and social media innovations.
  • Analyze key metrics to identify, recommend, and implement changes to increase reservations and outlet covers.
  • Collaborate creatively with PHR’s Creative team and digital agencies to conceive, develop, and produce effective advertisements and campaigns.
  • Work with the in-house Creative Director and/or Graphic Designer on print/online ads and emails.
  • Establish relationships with followers and influencers for collaborations and promotions.
  • Attend weekly marketing meetings for both the hotels and F&B divisions, providing ideas and updates on upcoming initiatives and campaigns.
  • Manage multiple marketing initiatives concurrently, meet tight deadlines, and help maintain the brand identity for each restaurant and hotel of the Cavalier Resort.
  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing events.
  • Assist in the purchase order process in Birch Street for Marketing expenses, as directed by the Marketing Manager or Director of Sales & Marketing.
  • Ensure accuracy and up-to-date information across all resort hotels and F&B outlets on all on-property media, collateral, signage, and digital screen content.
  • Prepare, format, and edit various documents, reports, and tracking metrics as directed by the Marketing Manager and/or Director of Sales & Marketing.
  • Audit all websites and digital ad placements for accuracy.
  • Handle other marketing-related projects and administrative support as required.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of running successful campaigns across multiple digital channels.
  • 3-5 years of digital marketing experience.
  • Motivated self-starter with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge and experience with HTML and Adobe Creative Cloud programs (Photoshop, Premiere, and Dreamweaver).
  • Experience managing social media marketing on platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, YouTube, and Google+.
  • Preferred photo editing skills and/or video editing experience in Premiere Pro or Instagram.
  • Initiative to stay current with best practices for online marketing in the hospitality industry.
