The ideal candidate will be a strong writer first and foremost and someone with experience writing for and managing multiple social media channels.

You will strive to increase engagement and other metrics in order to build a strong presence and regularly producing written content to support these business objectives.

This is an onsite daily position in their Jersey City office and will require some weekend commitments as events arise.

Responsibilities:

• Write multiple articles a day for the website and social media platforms centering around combat sports including boxing, MMA, kickboxing, and more
• Generate, edit and publish entertaining across multiple social media channels to engage fans and increase followers
• Edit and post daily freelancer articles
• Attent media events (including live events) to capture video and conduct interviews with fighters
• Source news stories each morning for a short daily news segment
• Consistently interact with fans and fighter communities
• Be available for off hours and weekends to write/post news stories as well as live event results
• Create clips from live events and post on social media
• Set up and monitor streams of live events on platforms to ensure flawless execution

Requirements:

• 3+ years of professional experience creating content for social media and websites
• Bachelor’s degree in communications or related field
• Solid portfolio and/or examples showcasing your content
• Experience with entertainment, sports, or combat sports
• Solid expertise with Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, and TikTok
• Strong writing ability, with journalist first mindset
• Experience with success in audience engagement and growth
• WordPress, Photoshop, Premiere Pro

The expected pay range for this salary is $45,000-65,000. Salary is based on a wide range of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography. Paid time off and 401k benefits are also available with this client opportunity.
