Social Media Specialist

FCH Enterprises, Inc is currently seeking a Social Media Specialist. In this role, you are responsible for social media, content, communications, and you are a branding guru who understands the importance of brand voice consistency across multiple channels and media.
You play nice with others and have a knack for creating long-lasting relationships. You have a love for local Hawaii culture, have a basic understanding of Hawaiian history, and language, and live and breathe all things social media.
We’re looking for a storyteller, a connector, a go-getter, and a people person, that is not afraid of trying new things, meeting new people, and pushing the boundaries of bringing new life and ideas to a longstanding company built on traditions and history.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- 1-3 years of social media and communications experience
- Must be skilled in English reading and writing
- Have an understanding of local Hawaii culture, slang, history, and Hawaiian language
- Must have computer skills in the following areas: Adobe Creative Suite, or related packages
- Must be familiar with a social media scheduling planner, and content management platform
- Must be experienced in iPhone photography/videography, photo and video editing, multitasking, organization, and project management.
- Must be able provide a portfolio of content creation and/or social media management. Must be able to collaborate with team members and approach challenges with positivity, curiosity, and creativity
- This position is eligible for remote work
Responsibilities Will Include
- Growing our social media footprint while maintaining and enhancing the brand and reputation
- Proactively identify new and underutilized opportunities to expand our organic social media channels
- Prepare project briefs that communicate campaign goals, key audience segments, and measure the success with the identification of actionable insights
- Write copy for social content, promotions, and campaign activations
- Contribute to the day-to-day management of ALL social media channels
- Coordinate influencer collaborations, including negotiating trades, and partnerships
- Create unique, and original content for social media
- Plan, coordinate, execute and oversee social media photoshoots on-site
- Support the Communications Manager with creating occasional publicity ideas and helping to pitch them to the media
- Build relationships with influencers and community members while supporting the needs of the marketing team and social media/communication teams
- Responsible for supporting the execution of social media projects and campaigns such as:
- Contests + giveaways
- Influencer events
- Brand collaborations
- Social media and communications programs
- Will report on data as needed
